52% women in Danica’s management team. That sounds impressive – and it is a step in the right direction.
But as I say in a new article in Børsen, where I’m quoted as an expert:
“Culture is often the invisible opponent. Top leaders must lead the way – and acknowledge that the barriers exist in behaviors, structures, and within themselves.”
The article highlights how psychological safety and an inclusive culture create real opportunities for women in leadership. And I’m proud to contribute my perspective.
Because this isn’t just about gender quotas.
It’s about:
Who we promote
Who we ask
Who we see
And who we truly believe in
When women don’t make it to the top, it’s rarely due to a lack of competence – but often because of the invisible mechanisms within the culture. That’s exactly why I work with Intelligent Leadership®, which helps organizations to:
Create awareness about bias and blind spots
Develop leaders in specific behavioral patterns
Anchor cultural change – from the inside out
Are we moving toward equality – or just getting better at counting?
If we want to create real change, we must dare to look deeply in the mirror – and train the leaders who shape the culture. Not just once, but systematically and holistically.
